You Are In Good Hands

Brooks of Bliss Ministries, Weekly Devotion Week 2. Text: "YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS" by Pastor MP Raphahlelo. Calm, inspirational.

17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed;

tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”

II Chronicles 20:17 NKJV

How does it feel, hearing that your battles are fought by the Lord the Creator of the universe? Yep, that is what it is. Some people trust in physical security with limitations and others depend on fellow humans for protection. Not so with a child of God. The battle of a child of God belongs to

the Lord. Any weapon formed against you provokes heaven. Anything that challenges you, challenges God almighty. The bible exhorts us not to assume responsibility for battles that are not ours. We must leave them to the Lord for He fights better. When we stress about our adversaries to a point of fighting back through our own efforts, being at pains to justify ourselves to our

detractors and accusers, responding to slander with more slander, or fighting gossip with gossip, we are engaging in battles that do not belong to us. When we fight spiritual

battles with physical effort, we have already lost.

The Bible says, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord who is with you.¹ Standing still means being peaceful in the face of threats of the enemy. It involves remaining calm amid the storms of life and being steadfast, even when your Goliath is hurling

threats. It requires believing that God is in control of your situation, even when the circumstances

suggest otherwise. This also means resisting any fear that the enemy tries to introduce into your life. It all begins with an awareness of God's presence- understanding that the Lord is with you and finding rest in His everlasting arms.

Prayer:

Lay your right hand on your head and declare: "Lord, I thank you for taking control of all my battles.

Thank you for the victories you have prepared for me. I will fear no evil for fear is not my portion. I wait in anticipation to witness your salvation for me and my family. I will testify of your goodness in the land of the living.

Amen.
